Ok, so I've been absolutely horrible since my last post. I just pretty much got down and gave up. I still ate somewhat healthy but quit most working out. I found out I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, the blood clotting problem, the high blood pressure, the diabetes, and now added being anemic! I'm falling apart!!1
Ok, that over, so now I've decided to completely re-vamp my program. I'm eating really healthy again starting today (chicken and veggies for lunch before work (I wait tables so I'm on my feet each work day), then working out. I was planning on going to the gym after work, then found out my track pants (my only pair of pants for working out, as jeans and sweats aren't allowed at the gym) had disappeard in the back of the laundry area since last week after I wore them while mowing, so they are pretty smelly and I don't have time to wash and dry them before work, so going to the gym is out for tonight, but I'm still going to get a little bit of physical activity today.
I found some free aps for my phone from Zen labs (couch to 5K, ab trainer, butt trainer, and leg trainer). I'm going to do the ab, butt, and leg trainers after work tonight, then start the couch to 5K tomorrow at the gym.
Yes, I said 5K! Those of you who know me personally know how much I love NASCAR, and I found out today that Kasey Kahne has a 5K race every October on Charlotte race weekend at the NASCAR Hall of Fame at Charlotte, North Carolina. I know I can't afford to go this year, plus with my obesity and hip problems I doubt I'll be in shape for this year anyway, but my goal is to be able to go and run in it next year in October-after our wedding May 31.
If you noticed in the title of this post, I said the 'countdowns' start, as in plural countdowns. My first is to loose 10 pounds per month at least between now and the wedding so I will (hopefully) be both under 200 pounds and be in a size 14 or 15 at least by then. (right now I'm 269 and a size 24). The second countdown is to gradually add actual running time (not just walking fast) to my treadmil workouts three times a week to build up to at least an additional 1/4 mile each month so I will be running 3 miles by this time next year, which gives me another 6 weeks until the 5K. It's a small goal but with my lousy track record, I want to start with small goals and adjust as needed to see how far I can go.
So right now we're (my sister and I) planning a sisters NASCAR weekend to Charlotte, NC in mid October 2014, with touring Hendrick (Kasey Kahne's team) and SHR (Tony Stewart's team) shops, the Hall of Fame, attending the Charlotte race, and then the 5K from Wednesday thru Sunday. We'll see what happens! I need encouragement!!!! THANKS!!

Back at it Again!
I'm back! I took a way too long break-just got to where I didn't care, was way too stressed out to do anything after work but relax and before work but stress about work.
So, moving past that now thanks to the Lord's help! I'm determined to look at work better-and when I forget, I have a sticky note on my computer monitor that says "DO NOT WORRY! Let GOD take care of it!!' I must say this has helped A LOT!
So I'm back on the workout and eating healthy route again. I just started today measuring portions and charting what I eat every day and all activities on Spark People. It helps a lot to see what I eat every day and see where I can make improvements. Today is day 1, week 1. I am going to try to take a photo of my self in the mirror with my cell phone and forward it to my laptop so I can post it both here and on my facebook page to help make myself more accountable to all of you who read this and to all my friends on facebook. It's going to be a long journey, but I WILL make it!
Rob is going on this journey with me. Oh, by the way-HE POPPED THE QUESTION!! Yep, we're engaged after 3 years of dating. So of course this is just another incentive for me to get back on and stay on the nutrition and getting healthy bandwagon. The wedding isn't until September 13, 2014 (we're going to NYC for 2 weeks! plus paying for everything ourselves). But just because I have awhile before the wedding dosen't mean I can sit back and be lazy now. I want to be able to do some major shopping-not to mention have a pretty custom made dress-before then!
At least I've kept most of the weight I'd already lost off. I'd lost 20 pounds when I stopped putting any effort toward it at all. I haven't given it 100% every-until now-but even though it was a little here and there, 20 pounds were gone. I only gained 3 pounds back over the holidays thankfully.
So here we go again, only this time I WILL stick to it!
